JTTS welcomes your help and participation!
Mini Mission Trip
Join JTTS to distribute bagged lunches and other resources while we fellowship, minister, and pray with people in the downtown area.
This is a mini mission trip right in the heart of Waco!
How Do I Volunteer?
- Come
- Time: 9 a.m.
- Place: 1226 Washington Ave (we meet beside the Meyer Center).
- Date: third Saturday of every month (see events for specific dates).
- Check in when you get there: please check-in with Phyllis Shows, JTTS founder, to see where your service is needed most that day.
What Happens on the Streets?*
You will have unlimited opportunities for fellowship, visiting, sharing the Good News, and praying with the people we are serving.
*Read more: how to prepare (what to wear and bring)
At each location we also need help:
- Setting up tables and organizing supplies for distribution.
- Announcing our “circle-up” to gather in prayer before distribution.
- Distribution of lunches and other resources.
- Cleaning up the location and packing supplies before moving to the next location.
We start beside the Meyer Center at 9 a.m. Then we caravan to several locations in and near downtown Waco.
This Happens on the Streets!
We like to let you serve on the streets where your heart calls you. For example, we have a lady who makes homemade cookies to share as she gives an encouraging smile, another person makes a prayer guide each month to share with our friends, while others listen to people and offer prayer and Biblical hope.
Service Projects
In addition to our mini mission trips, you can also consider sponsoring a service project as an individual or through your community group. Read more about service projects.
